Professional Affiliations

Thompson Coburn LLP is a member of the Defense Counsel section of the Media Law Resource Center, the information clearinghouse organized and supported by major media organizations to monitor developments and promote First Amendment rights in the libel, privacy and related legal fields.

Members of our group participate in MLRC's Internet and Pre-Publication and Pre-Broadcast Review committees, contribute annual outlines on privacy law for several of MLRC's 50-state compilations, and regularly write for MLRC's newsletters and projects.

Many members of the Media, Communications and Internet practice regularly speak to or write for industry, media, and professional groups on subjects relating to media law, Internet legal issues, advertising and promotions issues.
