35 years of experience in virtually every area of business immigration law.
The firm's immigration and naturalization law practice includes the representation
of more than 1,000 individuals and 100 companies throughout the United States
and abroad. The firm performs immigration services for the benefit of persons
in a wide variety of careers, including educators, engineers, computer professionals,
health care professionals, scientists, and other business professionals.
We assist clients in planning comprehensive immigration strategies
for a variety of non-immigrant (temporary) visas, including:
- Business visitors (B)
- Specialty occupations (H-1B)
- Intra-company transferees (L)
- Business professionals pursuant to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) (TN)
Our attorneys also assist clients in obtaining U.S. permanent
resident status and citizenship by naturalization. Cases for permanent resident
status have included relatives, aliens of extraordinary ability and outstanding
researchers, executives and other employer-sponsored employees. Our attorneys
regularly advise and represent clients in adjustment of status proceedings, Alien
Labor Certification applications, preference classification petitions, consular
visa processing, and INS interviews.
We assist our clients in designing preventive measures and
in reviewing their hiring practices to ensure compliance with the Immigration
Reform and Control Act of 1986 and subsequent legislation. Our attorneys have
conducted internal I-9 audits and represented clients during INS and DOL (both
Wage and Hour Division and OFCCP) audits and investigations.
We provide training to human resource personnel on business
immigration topics, including implementing proper hiring procedures for international
workers and designing and maintaining appropriate employment verification systems.
We advise our clients on immigration-related employment discrimination issues
such as citizenship, race, and national origin discrimination.
