Thompson Coburn frequently lobbies Congress on issues important
to the maritime industry. Recently, our firm actively represented shipowner
clients before Congress in achieving reform of the laws regarding taxation of
shipping income known as subpart F.
Many of our attorneys have Proctor
status with The Maritime Law Association of the United States. We work
with all aspects of government guaranteed financing offered to shipowners
and shipyards under the Title XI U.S. Government Guaranteed Ship Financing
Program. We also have considerable experience advising clients on the
Capital Construction Fund Program and the private placement of
maritime-related debt instruments in the capital markets.
