Complex Litigation - Regional and National Representation

For more than two decades, Thompson Coburn LLP has provided regional and national representation to Union Pacific Railroad. Much of this representation involves handling occupational exposure cases in as many as 35 jurisdictions across the country brought against Union Pacific by railroad employees. Thompson Coburn's expertise in handling these cases came to the forefront when the Firm dealt with dozens of law firms across the country efficiently and cost effectively. The Firm coordinated the efforts of the various counsel, and developed themes and strategies to be used by local law firms in litigation. And with the goal of ensuring consistent, effective representation in mind, Thompson Coburn produced a book and developed seminars designed to train local counsel in defending these cases. The Firm also worked closely with local counsel, continually refining tactics and strategies and communicating this vital information to local counsel representing the client in different venues.
